Getting started
SirenChecker lets you search public French company datasets, filter results, save promising leads, and export them to CSV. No account or login is required.
How to search
Open the search screen and enter any combination of:
- Company name — partial or full name
- Activity code (NAF/APE) — French business activity code
- City or commune — registered address location
- Region — French administrative region
- Creation date range — filter by company founding date
- Revenue range — filter by reported revenue band
Tap Search to fetch results from the public recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr API. No login is required for this search.
Lead presets
The Presets section contains ready-made lead segments such as "new businesses" and other practical filters. Tap a preset to run the corresponding search immediately without filling in filters manually.
Viewing lead details
Tap any result to open the detail view. You can see the company's identifiers (SIREN, SIRET), address, activity code, creation date, and other public data. From there you can:
- Copy individual fields to the clipboard
- Open the company location in Apple Maps
- Open trusted external public sources (Annuaire, INPI, BODACC, Pappers, and others)
- Save the company to your leads list
Saving leads
Tap Save lead on any detail view to add a company to your saved leads list. Saved leads are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and are never uploaded to any server.
Exporting to CSV
Open your saved leads list and tap Export CSV. The app generates a CSV file with key fields for each saved lead. Share it via the iOS/macOS share sheet — save to Files, send via Mail, or open in a spreadsheet app.
INSEE authenticated search (optional)
For higher rate limits and extended SIRENE data, you can provide your own INSEE API bearer token:
- Obtain a bearer token from the INSEE developer portal (
api.insee.fr). - Open Search Settings in the app.
- Enter your token in the INSEE token field.
The token is stored locally on your device and sent only to api.insee.fr. This is entirely optional; the app works without it.
Map view
The app uses Apple MapKit to display company locations on a map. The app does not request your current device location — map results are based on the company's registered address from public data.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the company data come from?
From public French business APIs: recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr (open public search) and optionally api.insee.fr (SIRENE authenticated search). These are official French public data services.
Does the app track me or show ads?
No. SirenChecker contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no tracking technology. It does not use App Tracking Transparency.
Are my saved leads backed up?
Saved leads are stored locally on your device. The app itself does not upload leads to any server. If your device is covered by an iCloud backup, leads may be included in that backup.
Is the data accurate and up to date?
The app displays data as returned by the public APIs. Accuracy and freshness depend on those public sources. Always verify business information before relying on it for decisions.
Can I delete a saved lead?
Yes. Swipe left on any saved lead in the leads list to reveal the delete option.
